ST GEORGE'S DAY 2005
Sunday 17th April saw the Groups from South Berkshire attend their annual St George's Day Service. This year it was held at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst.

The Service and Parade was attended by over 800 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Leaders and parents.

The Service itself was held in the Royal Memorial Chapel and included the important renewal of laws and promises by all of the movements members. There were several readings and hymns were sung. There was also a song led by members of the District Gang Show.

After the Service the Groups assembled outside for the parade. Each Group was lead by their Group and Section flags and were accompanied by the Charles Church Silver Band. 1st Easthampstead's James Ridgeon had the honour of parading the St George's Flag leading the parade next to the Union Flag .

' Our invited guests the Mayors of Bracknell Town, Sandhurst Town and
Bracknell Forest together with their consorts all said that they enjoyed their afternoon and would be taking the message back to their respective bodies that "Scouting in South Berkshire was alive and well". '
