CUB AND SCOUT CHRISTMAS MEAL
Friday 9th December saw the cub and Scout Sections teaming up for a mass-Christmas meal at the Headquarters. 34 boys enjoyed a fun filled evening topped off by an excellent Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Father Christmas also paid a visit - interrupting his test flight before his big evening on the 24th !
Cubs and Scouts enjoy the festive treat

6:30pm and the cubs and Scouts arrived at the hall. Parse the parcel was the first game with each of the four tables having their own parcel.

Some presentations followed with the Scout sections Owl's Patrol winning 'Patrol of the Year'. Akela was then awarded her 'Medal of Merit' for her service to the Cub Pack - well done Akela. This was awarded by our district Commissionaire, Peter Forbes. Peter then awarded the Scout section 'Scout of the year' award and Skip presented the runner-up prizes. A big well done to all award winners.

A quiz was held next followed by the main course - a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. After pudding the quiz answers and prizes were given out and Father Christmas popped in to give everyone a present. A 'moving on' ceremony then took place with the older Cubs moving up to the Scout section.

Thank you to all who helped plan and run the evening which was a great success. Special thanks has to go to the Ridgeon family for preparing and cooking such a great feast.
