OLIVE HEFFIL Posted on 31/12/07
It is with sadness that we report the death of Olive Heffil on Friday 14th December 2007.
Olive joined 1st Easthampstead Scout Group as Assistant Beaver Scout Leader to Florrie Hey and continued to assist the Beaver Scout Colony until her retirement.
Apart from her involvement with the Beaver Scout Colony, Olive was very active as a supporter of 1st Easthampstead for over 20 years and continued her relationship with the Group as an Honorary Scouter – a position she held until her death.
Olive was also a member of the District Fellowship for many years and, until ill health prevented her, she regularly attended meetings and activities. Olive was also a great supporter of the District Gang Show from its very early years, helping in many ways both back stage and working tirelessly in the costume department.
Olive spent many hours helping to maintain Earleywood – our local District Camp Site near Ascot.
We will miss seeing her at our various meetings and events and we remember her Service to the Group and the District with gratitude.

On Wednesday 11th March 2007 1st Easthampstead's new Wednesday Scout Troop for
girls invested it's first 11 members. The Troop which was only formed in early

have made in such a short time and are looking forward to an exciting future
with the new Troop.
